FBI agents confront Stearns County Sheriff over false statments to the public about Wetterling investigation - Sheriff lying about basics

Why is Stearns County Sheriff Don Gudmundson lying about the most basic facts in the Jacob Wetterling case?
Its making people angry.

Two FBI agents, Al Garber and Steve Gilkerson, have publicly confronted Gudmundson over false information Gudmundson has disseminated regarding the recently closed Wetterling case. And - there appears to be truth in what Garber and Gilkerson are saying because the Sheriff's office has presented information that demands one suspend reality to believe it.
Yesterday, Stearns County Sheriff Office issued a press release in response to the press conference Gilkerson held at government center in Hennepin County - but the statement contains a bizzare lie. Gudmondson states Daniel Heinrich "fits the composite" of Jacob Wetterling's abductor.
But...
THERE WAS NO COMPOSITE - THE TWO BOYS SAID THE MAN WAS WEARING A MASK.

And it gets more bizzare.
Gudmundson failed to explain why and how teeth and bones found became mingled with boys clothing at the supposed grave of Jacob Wetterling where Heinrich led them in August of 2016 - - - the teeth and bones turned out to NOT BE HUMAN.
According to an application for a second search warrant, experts determined the teeth and bones found at the first search site were not human. It appears the teeth and bones were strategically mingled with clothing linked to Jacob, which means the whole scenario surrounding Heinrich's confession is false.

“We had nothing,” Gilkerson said. “Nothing to show [Heinrich] was responsible for Jacob’s kidnapping.”
Gilkerson, an FBI special agent from 1968 to 1998, recalled his 1990 interrogation of Danny Heinrich, Jacob’s killer, insisting he and other investigators did not blow the Wetterling case when they allowed Heinrich, a prime suspect from the get-go, to slip through their hands, FOX 9 reported.
“It is clear to me that the only way this case could have ever been solved and was solved was by confession,” Gilkerson said. “My impression of Danny Heinrich is he would never confess to this crime.”
